Current advice for headteachers, staff and school governors was issued by the Department for Education in May 2012  and was updated in October 2014.

This guidance replaced the ‘Safe to Learn’ suite of materials produced by the former Department for Children, Schools and Families under the previous government. However, we believe these documents are still useful and they are available for download here:
